Riverdance project under way

A lot of activity on the weekend as many loads of top soil were hauled into the project. It will be levelled out as part of the landscape that will eventually be a major part of the first phase project. It will be a passive park area that will be adjacent to the building that will begin construction shortly to the south and house the University of Windsor fish research lab. More details will follow.

Declared my Candidacy for LaSalle Council for 2010

Today on the first day of Summer I have filed my papers to seek re-election to LaSalle council. I will be seeking your support for the next 4 years on October 25th. A great deal of accomplishments have taken place during the last 4 years and we will continue in the same way during the next term.

In doing so, I would be interested in hearing from you. Opinions and Comments on anything that you may perceive important. It is important to know what people think. Feel free to contact me on this blog or at the following.

Dubbed this term as a "Successful Term"

I have dubbed this term as a "Successful term." We have been very fortunate to receive a lot of stimulas dollars from the Federal and Provincal Governments. The town applies for financial assistance for large projects, typically infastructure projects. If approved it has to be blessed by both Federal and Provincial levels because they each provide 1/3 of the funding and the town has to fund 1/3 as well. The town's share is typically in a reserve fund that has been accumulating over a period of time. A lot of projects this summer will hamper getting around town but the end results will well out weigh the inconviences.
